We made it safely through the Trade Winds again as we traveled back to Hammerfall. We’re starting to turn in to a real crew now. As much as I do miss our former captain, I have enjoyed being able to run things my way for a spell. Although I heard rumors that the Captain was finishing rehab. Though this will mean I won’t be in the spotlight, it will give me some chance to catch back up on my alchemy and research.

Silas tried to have a Breaker-esque moment in the guild hall by challenging Thaddeus’s brother to a medic battle. Unfortunately, a drunk makes for an easy target. Silas took pity on him and now wants to help rehabilitate Theodore. A noble cause for sure, but it could be futile. But that’s not really my business.

I am anxious to start brewing potions again after being stymied in Kingsport. Alchemy is frowned enough in legitimate circles, and I failed to have the street smarts to secure my goods in the seedy part of town. In retrospect my mistake was not enlisting the help of Silas. I thought I could do it myself, and he needed real medical supplies so I did not want to jeopardize his purchases. But once I learned of his former experience as a grifter, I realized that he could have surely talked our way out and bought my supplies. I may be skilled at selling potions, but that was in my element, in the city that most celebrates my wonderful craft. Now I know that the world outside Sunsail is different. I will have to adapt.
